BA (Hons) Design (Fashion Textiles)

Fashion relies on fabric. Experimental materials used by fashion designers are ever changing. On this unique Fashion Textiles course you will be encouraged to push the boundaries of how Textiles
are created. Whilst concentrating on the design and production
of inspirational fashion fabrics you will also have the option to
create your own garments.

Learn a wide range of skills including digital and traditional
printing, dyeing, embellishment alongside pattern cutting,
draping and construction.

• A diagnostic first year allows exploration of all aspects of textiles and fashion design before opting for own specialism
• Spacious studios with individual work space
• Excellent sewing, printing and digital workshops with full-time Technical Demonstrator support
• Work experience/placement opportunities
• Focusing on commercial viability in live briefs
• The final year concentrates on production of your own fabric and/or fashion collections
• Stimulating visual culture lecture programmes leading to personal dissertation - travel bursaries are available
• Show at Clothes Show Live, Graduation Fashion week or New Designs London as well as on campus at the end of the course
