In this versatile and contemporary design programme individual combinations of surface and textile design are developed for the interior and exterior environment. A dynamic mix of processes and materials are utilised, from hard to soft, 2D to 3D, digital and traditional printing, laser cutting and embroidery with manipulation and multimedia.

Surface Design involves the exciting application of texture, form and imagery to various surfaces. Explore a diverse range of materials and rejuvenate the look and feel of the spaces around you. Investigate the various outcomes to include products, packaging, lifestyles, walls, floors, furniture, windows and graphic layouts.

Interior Textiles involves the creation of innovative printed, manipulated and embellished materials for use in the interior
and exterior market. Challenge the use of traditional and cutting edge digital processes of laser cutting and embroidery and experiment with traditional and contemporary textiles printing. Develop your own individual solutions.
• Initially a diagnostic year enables you to select this specialist area for the second and third years
• Work in spacious studio at your own dedicated space
• Use well equipped sewing and construction, printing and digital, workshops, supported by full-time dedicated technical demonstrators
