Rachel Skeet

Technical Demonstrator

I operate the Mimaki Digital Fabric Printer, the FB 1500 Watt Laser Cutter and the Digital Embroidery Machine. My main area of interest is combining digital design with traditional methods, like appliqué, embroidery, screening printing and collage.
I graduated from the University of Wales Institute Cardiff, specialising in Textile design. For nearly 3 years I have been working as a freelance designer for fashion, textiles and cosmetics.

The best part of my job as a technical demonstrator is sharing my skills and experiences with the students and being a part of such a creative and exciting environment.
